The Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative has dedicated 2011 to building a firm resource for professional athletes looking to educate themselves about the franchise industry. For PAFI, the key to success is building strong partnerships with sports agencies that see the importance of the professional athletes transition from a sports career into a second career outside of the game. As stated by former NFL athlete, Michael Stone, ” As a professional athlete your biggest fears and frustrations begin to develop when you began to realize that injures or age are beginning to limit your ability to continue playing the game. For me as well as many other athletes, this fear can be paralyzing and in many cases can lead to depression as your playing days come to a close. In many cases we turn to our representation looking for thoughts and ideas on what we can do with the rest of our earning years.”

Our goal with our PAFI Advocate Sports Agent Program is to partner with  sports agents who will leverage PAFI  as an additional resource that they can lean on as they assist clients in the transition. With the shocking post career statistic, the value of a sports agency is willing to play a role in assisting its clients in the transition from the game is on the rise.
